The Halfway Point
Today I’m at the middle of my Year of 50. What a great year it has been thus far! My Year of 50 has been fun and a way to bring people together and into my life. Although I’m at the halfway mark in terms of days I have accomplished 26 items (not all have been blogged yet which means they are not checked off on the website), there are 5 things in progress and 19 things left to go.
Lessons learned so far…
- Don’t put things on your list which you have no control. I almost didn’t get to see a leopard while in Africa. I went to visit Dry Tortuga National Park only to have all flights to the park cancelled due to days of bad weather. I’m still hoping to get there during the second half.
- 50 days is longer than you think, especially when exercising.
- 365 days is a long time to do something every single day, without fail.
- Learning new things at any age is exhilarating!
- People are so generous in helping me. The accomplishment of items on the list would be utterly impossible if it wasn’t for the many people I have on this journey with me.
- God is good all the time and in all circumstances.
Can’t wait to finish this Year of 50 strong! Thanks for everyone’s support, encouragement, and assistance!
